New Xbox Game Pass titles for console, PC and Cloud dated
Including Psychonauts 2, Humankind and Twelve Minutes
Microsoft has confirmed the next wave of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass for console, PC and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Humankind (PC) joins the service today as a day one title alongside EA Play games Need for Speed Heat (Cloud), Star Wars Battlefront II (Cloud) and Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (Cloud).
They will be followed by Recompile (Cloud, Console, and PC), Train Sim World 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) and Twelve Minutes (Cloud, Console, and PC) on August 19, ahead of Psychonauts 2 (Cloud, Console, and PC) on August 25 and Myst (Cloud, Console, and PC) on August 26.
Microsoft has also added touch controls to 10 more cloud-enabled games available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.
The latest games to support touch controls are Hades, Bloodroots, Farming Simulator 19, Going Under, Need for Speed Heat, Peggle 2, Psychonauts, Wasteland 2, Wasteland 3 and Wasteland Remastered.
The following titles will leave Xbox Game Pass on August 31: Blair Witch (Cloud, Console, and PC), Double Kick Heroes (Cloud, Console, and PC), NBA 2K21 (Cloud and Console) and Stranger Things 3: The Game (Cloud, Console, and PC).
Xbox boss Phil Spencer recently ruled out the possibility of launching Xbox Game Pass on other console platforms in the near future.
In a GamesRadar interview, Spencer was specifically asked whether Microsoft is planning to bring Xbox Game Pass to Nintendo Switch.
“We have no plans to bring it to any other kind of closed platforms right now, mainly because those closed platforms don’t want something like Game Pass,” he responded.
“There’s a ton of open platforms out there for us to grow in: the web, PC, and mobile. So all of our focus, frankly, is on those platforms.”
