New Star Wars Outlaws trailer showcases season pass content

Ubisoft has released a new Star Wars Outlaws trailer focused on the game’s post-launch content.

The open world title, which is set between the events of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC on August 30.

However, players who purchase the Gold or Ultimate editions of the game, which include its season pass, will receive up to three days of early access.

Customers who pre-order Star Wars Outlaws will receive the Kessel Runner bonus pack, which includes cosmetics for protagonist Kay’s speeder and for her ship, the Trailblazer.

These will be available to season pass holders too, who’ll also receive an exclusive mission called Jabba’s Gambit at launch.

Story expansions for Star Wars Outlaws, which will be included in the season pass and be available to purchase separately too, will arrive this autumn/fall and in spring 2025.

Star Wars Outlaws: Wild Card sees protagonist Kay “hired to infiltrate a high-stakes Sabacc tournament, but as she crosses paths with the notorious gambler Lando Calrissian, she soon learns that another game is being played”, according to Ubisoft.

Hunter’s Legacy and Cartel Ronin cosmetic bundles will be released alongside the game’s first story expansion. These will include additional outfits for Kay and Nix, plus cosmetics for Kay’s speeder and her ship.

The second story expansion is called Star Wars Outlaws: A Pirate’s Fortune. “The Trailblazer’s reputation precedes Kay as she runs into veteran pirate Hondo Ohnaka, who is looking to settle old scores with a ruthless gang of pirates,” Ubisoft said.

VGC recently spent four hours playing Star Wars Outlaws, which is shaping up to be a fun if familiar adventure based on our hands-on time.

“Star Wars Outlaws is a lot like The Force Awakens,” we wrote. “It looks like Star Wars, it sounds like Star Wars, and if you’re even a moderate fan of the franchise, you’re likely to have a good time on the journey. But, the other side of that coin is that nothing we’ve played so far feels like it’s pushing in a bold new direction.”
