New Pokémon Scarlet and Violet expansion trailer released
The first part of the expansion will launch this fall/autumn
Nintendo has released a new trailer for the two-part Pokémon Scarlet and Violet expansion.
Announced in February, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero Part 1: The Teal Mask and Part 2: The Indigo Disk will be released this fall/autumn and winter 2023 respectively.
The lates trailer, which is viewable below, was shown during a Nintendo Direct presentation on Wednesday.
“Join a special school trip to the land of Kitakami in Part 1: The Teal Mask and get to know the residents and customs of Mossui Town!
“Study abroad at Blueberry Academy in Part 2: The Indigo Disk and explore the various environments contained in the undersea Terarium Dome!”
Both parts of the expansion will introduce older Pokémon not found in the Paldea region. These will include Milotic, Nintetails, Shiftree, Metagross, Seel and Aclremie.
Players who pre-order the expansion will be provided with a new uniform set, which will differ depending on which base game they have.
As an early purchase bonus, players who buy the expansion before October 31 will receive a Hisuian Zoroark that isn’t obtainable in the Paldea region.
The Hisuian Zoroark knows the move Happy Hour, is a dark tera-type and has the Charismatic Mark.
2019’s Pokémon Sword and Shield received two expansions, which since the series moved to the Nintendo Switch have replaced the typical third game in the line-up each generation.
