New or lapsed PS Plus Members can save $30/£25 off subscriptions for a limited time
Current members of the service are ineligible for the offer
New or returning PlayStation Plus members can save £25/$30 off subscriptions to the platform for a limited time.
The offer (via Push Square) means that PlayStation Plus Essential will cost £24.99/$29.99 for a year, PlayStation Plus Extra will cost £58.99/$69.99 and the highest tier, which includes retro games and some game trials, will cost £74.99/$89.99.
Sadly, this deal is not available to current members of the service, so your subscription must have expired, or you must have never joined the service.
The revamped PlayStation Plus service launched in June with the addition of premium tiers, which added a library of hundreds of modern and classic games. Essential allows for online play, whereas Extra offer access to a large number of PS4 and PS5 games.
Premium offers those PS4 and PS5 games, as well as a classic library featuring games from all of Sony‘s console generations, including the PSVita.
December’s first wave of PlayStation Plus games were made available for subscribers to claim last week.
Members can now add Mass Effect Legendary Edition (PS4), Biomutant (PS5/PS4) and Divine Knockout: Founder’s Edition (PS5/PS4) to their libraries.
Sony confirmed in November that the number of PlayStation Plus subscribers had dropped by nearly two million since the service underwent a revamp in early June, which is when it introduced its current three tier structure.
