New Ninja Theory game seemingly leaked before E3

An upcoming game from Hellblade studio Ninja Theory appears to have been leaked, ahead of a potential reveal at E3.

A minute-long off-screen video posted online shows a fast-paced “combat action” game featuring 4v4 online melee gameplay and a colourful cast of characters.

The video, which is watermarked “confidential,” suggests a technical alpha for the title will commence on June 27.

It also implies DmC: Devil May Cry combat director Rahni Tucker has a prominent role in the project’s development.

Daniel Ahmad, a senior analyst at market research firm Niko Partners, has suggested Tucker and Ninja Theory commercial director Dominic Matthews were scheduled to announce the game on stage during Microsoft’s Xbox E3 conference this Sunday.

Microsoft’s executive VP of gaming, Phil Spencer, has said the platform holder is planning to show off 14 first-party games at its E3 conference.

At E3 in June 2018, Microsoft announced that it had acquired Heavenly Sword and Enslaved developer Ninja Theory, alongside Forza Horizon studio Playground Games, State of Decay maker Undead Labs, and We Happy Few creator Compulsion Games.
