New Monster Hunter Wilds gameplay shown at Gamescom Opening Night Live
Capcom’s sequel is scheduled for release in 2025
Capcom premiered new Monster Hunter Wilds gameplay during the Gamescom Opening Night Live showcase on Tuesday.
The game’s latest trailer, which is viewable below, features a battle with a newly revealed monster and gives a look at some co-op gameplay.
The game will be playable for the public for the first time during Gamescom, which is taking place this week in Cologne, Germany.
Featuring cross-play support, Monster Hunter Wilds will be released for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in 2025.
“Monster Hunter Wilds looks like a crowning moment in Capcom’s second golden age,” VGC wrote following a behind-closed-doors showcase of the game in June.
“There is arguably no developer today that has so many of its franchises at their absolute apex. Resident Evil is firing on all cylinders, Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a Game of the Year contender, and from what we’ve seen, Monster Hunter Wilds will be no exception.”
