New Final Fantasy 7 Remake screenshots released

Game launching exclusively for PS4 in March

Square Enix has released a fresh batch of Final Fantasy VII Remake screenshots alongside some key character artwork.

The new images feature several characters, including Aerith in battle and Sephiroth, and locations such as Train Graveyard and Shinra’s headquarters.

They arrive a couple of days after the release of the game’s latest trailer, which focuses on Cloud and can be viewed above.

It was also confirmed last week that Final Fantasy VII Remake will be exclusive to PlayStation platforms for one year.

Announced at E3 2015, Final Fantasy VII Remake is an episodic project that’s expected to span several releases.

Producer Yoshinori Kitase claimed in June the level of content being created for each Final Fantasy VII Remake title is comparable to that of a full game, and that he expects development of the second entry in the project to be “more efficient” than the first.

In late November, Final Fantasy VII Remake director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed that work on the second game in the project was underway.
