New Call of Duty user interface and Black Ops 6 pre-loading are now live
The latest series entry will be released on Friday
Activision has released an update introducing a new Call of Duty user interface, and launched Black Ops 6 pre-loading.
The new UI—formerly known as Call of Duty HQ—includes three main hubs. Players access featured titles and modes on the Home page, previous titles under All Games, and the latest purchasable content under Store.
In a blog post, Activision said the UI will evolve over three initial phases, reaching its full capabilities with the start of Black Ops 6 Season 1, which has yet to be dated.
At this time, Black Ops 6 and Warzone will continue to be the primary game tiles on the Home tab.
The Store tab will direct players to the full Black Ops 6 and Warzone in-game stores, while a Battle Pass tab will be introduced with similar functionality as the Store one.
With the Season 1 update, Warzone will also get its own individual UI with improvements similar to the Black Ops 6 one.
Players can now pre-load Black Ops 6 on all platforms ahead of its release on October 25.
The game is available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC on the Microsoft Store, Battle.net and Steam. It’s also coming to Game Pass at launch.
For Xbox, PlayStation and Microsoft PC players, the game will launch regionally on October 24 between 4am PT and 11pm PT. The official launch time for players on Battle.net and Steam is October 24 at 9pm PT / October 25 at 5am BST.
Activision recently detailed all of the Black Ops 6 multiplayer modes and maps that will be available at release.
