New Bugsnax gameplay footage released as it’s confirmed to be a PS5 launch title
Title also coming to PS4 and PC on November 12

Young Horses has announced a Bugsnax release date of November 12 for PS5, PS4 and PC via the Epic Games Store, meaning it will be a launch title for Sony’s next-gen console.
Revealed during a PS5 showcase in June, Bugsnax is the next game from the Chicago-based developer of 2014’s Octodad: Dadliest Catch.
Described as a “narrative-driven adventure game” partly inspired by Sony’s Ape Escape, Bugsnax sees players hunting and capturing 100 different kinds of half-bug, half-snack creatures.
A Bugsnax PS5 gameplay trailer released in August revealed how players must observe the food-themed monsters to discover which traps, sauces and strategies can be used to capture them.
You can watch 30 minutes of new Bugsnax gameplay, plus a trailer introducing the voice cast behind a number of characters, below.
The game was one of the most memorable independent titles revealed during June’s PS5 showcase, partly thanks to its catchy theme tune by London-based pop band Kero Kero Bonito.
The PlayStation 5 release date is November 12 in the US, Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia and South Korea. The rest of the world will get the console a week later on November 19.
