New Borderlands 2 DLC reportedly set for E3 release
Upcoming content said to bridge gap between second and third games
Gearbox is said to be preparing to release new Borderlands 2 DLC this Sunday, June 9 — the day that Xbox’s E3 conference takes place.
Titled Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary, the DLC is said to bridge the gap between the second game in the series and Borderlands 3, which is set for release in September.
The DLC was first reported on by PlayStation Lifestyle in May, before a Steam listing corroborating the title and providing extra details went live for a short time earlier this week.
While the listing has since been removed, the following details and screenshots were captured and republished on ResetEra:
Commander Lilith & The Fight For Sanctuary
Return to the award winning shooter-looter for a new adventure that sets the stage for the upcoming Borderlands 3. Sanctuary is under siege, the Vault’s map has been stolen and a toxic gas is poisoning Pandora. Fight new bosses, explore new zones, get new loot (including an entirely new tier beyond Legendary) and join up with Lilith and the Crimson Raiders to take on a deranged villain hell-bent on ruling the planet
Returning players can pursue an increased level cap of 80, while newcomers can automatically boost to level 30 and dive straight into the action.
