New Apple devices to come with a 3-month Apple Arcade subscription
Including the upcoming iPhone 12 range
Apple has announced that new purchases of an iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Apple TV or Mac will be bundled with a three-month Apple Arcade subscription.
The limited time offer begins on October 22 and compares favourably to the current one-month free trial offered to Apple device owners.
Launched in September 2019 and normally priced at $4.99/£4.99 per month, Apple Arcade offers unlimited access to over 100 games, all of which are ad-free, playable offline, and don’t include microtransactions.
Upcoming Apple Arcade releases include The Pathless from developer Giant Squid and publisher Annapurna Interactive, and Reigns: beyond from developer Nerial and publisher Devolver Digital.
Apple unveiled its upcoming 5G iPhone 12 range on Tuesday, featuring its new A14 Bionic chip, which the firm calls “the fastest chip in a smartphone”.
iPhone 12 will be released on October 23 starting at £799/$799, iPhone 12 Mini on November 13 from £699/$699, iPhone 12 Pro on October 23 from £999/$999, and iPhone 12 Pro Max on November 13 from £1,099/$1,099.
