Netflix debuts footage of Cuphead animated series
Teaser video also introduces cast and crew members
Netflix has released a video offering a sneak peak at its upcoming Cuphead animated series.
The Cuphead Show! is being created in partnership with game developer Studio MDHR and print syndication company King Features.
“The character-driven comedy follows the unique misadventures of the impulsive Cuphead and his cautious but easily swayed brother Mugman,” according to last year’s announcement.
“Through their many misadventures across their surreal home of the Inkwell Isles, they’ve always got one another’s backs.”
The teaser video below introduces several cast and crew members and confirms plans to release the show “soon”.

Released in 2017 for PC and Xbox One before making its way to Switch in 2019, Cuphead has been widely praised for its art direction and boss battles.
The run and gun 2D platformer has won a string of high-profile awards and has sold over four million copies worldwide.
Studio MDHR delayed the release of Cuphead’s Delicious Last Course expansion from last year to 2020 in order to give it more time to focus on creating a quality product while maintaining a healthy work/life balance for its employees.
