Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered is joining Xbox Game Pass and EA Play soon
EA’s racing game will be available to subscribers in late June
Need For Speed Hot Pursuit Remastered will be added to the EA Play and Xbox Game Pass libraries on June 24.
Featuring cross-platform multiplayer support on all platforms, the game was released in November 2020 for PS4, Xbox One, PC and Switch.
Remastered by Stellar Entertainment, the studio behind Burnout Paradise Remastered, it includes all the original game’s post-launch content, like the Armed and Dangerous and Lamborghini Untamed modes.
It also added new achievements, car colours, reduced hard stops, an updated photo mode and various quality of life updates.
Earlier this week publisher EA delisted five older Need for Speed games from digital stores and confirmed plans to turn off their servers in three months.
Since November 2020, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on console have received an EA Play membership at no additional cost, granting members unlimited access to full versions of selected EA back catalogue games.
EA Play was then added to Xbox Game Pass for PC in March 2021, following a three-month delay.
May’s additions to EA Play and Xbox Game Pass included FIFA 21 and Mario Kart Live developer Velan Studios’ team-based multiplayer game Knockout City.
June’s new Xbox Game Pass titles include For Honor, Backbone and Darkest Dungeon.
Microsoft is planning to announce more new titles coming to the service during the Xbox and Bethesda games showcase on June 13.
