Muhammad Ali will star in WWE 2K24
The heavyweight boxing legend appears in a new gameplay trailer
Muhammad Ali will be playable in WWE 2K24, it’s been revealed.
Ali, considered by many to be the greatest boxer in the history of the sport, appears at the end of a new gameplay trailer for WWE 2K24.
The trailer shows highlights from the game’s 40 Years of WrestleMania Showcase mode, as well as its new match types including the ambulance match, casket match and guest referee match.
At the end, however, the video shows a brief glipse of Ali standing ringside then performing some punches in the ring.
Ali was involved in the first ever WrestleMania main event, in which he was the referee.
It’s not yet clear if this means that match will therefore feature in the Showcase mode, which would mean its four competitors – Hulk Hogan, Roddy Piper, Paul ‘Mr Wonderful’ Orndorff and Mr T – would feature too.
Ali also recently appeared as a playable fighter in UFC 5, alongside Mike Tyson.
The latest edition of the WWE 2K series will be released on March 8, and will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
Players who pre-order any edition of the game will get the Nightmare Family Pack, which includes two alternate versions of Cody Rhodes (Undashing and Stardust), the 1976 version of Dusty Rhodes and Superstar Billy Graham.
In a recent WWE 2K24 hands-on preview, we said the latest entry “appears to be business as usual”, which we felt was a positive sign given how well-received the previous two WWE 2K games have been.
