More evidence points to impending PS5 version of Starfield
User-created content library spotted displaying PS5 logo

Further potential evidence has emerged that Bethesda’s Xbox console exclusive Starfield could be coming to PS5.
On Friday, users spotted that a creation posted on Starfield’s user-created content library had a PlayStation logo on its list of available platforms, alongside Xbox and PC. This content was soon removed, but archived on Resetera.
A PS5 port of Starfield has been expected ever since Xbox shared its “vision of the future of Xbox” a year ago, where it confirmed that Sea of Thieves, Hi-Fi Rush, and more would no longer be Xbox console exclusives. Other former Xbox exclusives have also been ported to PS5, such as Forza Horizon 5.
In November, Microsoft‘s gaming boss Phil Spencer said there were no red lines regarding what Xbox titles would come to other platforms. Then, when asked if Starfield would come to PS5 in January, the exec dropped further hints it could yet come to other platforms.
When asked by Destin Legarie whether or not he could confirm that Starfield will remain exclusive, Spencer replied, “No, there’s no specific game… there’s no reason for me to put a ring fence around any game and say ‘this game will not go to a place where it will find players and have business success for us’.”

“What we find is we’re able to drive a better business that allows us to invest in a great game lineup like you saw, that’s our strategy. Our strategy is to allow our games to be available. Game Pass is an important component of playing the games on our platform.”
Veteran former Bethesda designer Bruce Nesmith recently said that a potential Starfield sequel would be “one hell of a game”, thanks to the developer learning from the mistakes of the first.
“I’m looking forward to Starfield 2,” he said. “I think it’s going to be one hell of a game because it will address many of the things people are saying, ‘We’re quite there. We’re missing a little bit.’ It will be able to take what’s in there right now and put in a lot of new stuff and fix a lot of those problems.”
