Monster Hunter World Iceborne PC and console updates ‘to sync from April’
Capcom outlines 2020 content roadmap
Capcom has shared its 2020 content roadmap for Monster Hunter World: Iceborne.
Iceborne launched in September 2019 for PS4 and Xbox One, ahead of its PC release earlier this month.
Capcom intends to synchronise content releases across all platforms beginning in April, but before then PC players will start receiving title updates featuring content previously available on consoles.
The first title update for PC is scheduled for early February. It will include Rajang and the limited time Resident Evil crossover, which can be seen in the trailers below.
A second title update due in March will introduce the Stygian Zinogre monster for PC, while a new Tundra Region will expand the Guiding Lands and play home to monsters such as Barioth and Viper Tobi-Kadachi.
In February, console players receive new limited time event quests, followed by a March title update adding two variant monsters. This update will arrive on PC in April.
Capcom is readying a Monster Hunter World: Iceborne patch designed to address PC save data and CPU problems users have been experiencing since the game’s release.
The company said earlier this month that Monster Hunter: World has become the first game in its history to exceed 15 million units shipped.
Premium expansion Iceborne, which requires the base game to play, has now shipped four million units worldwide with recent sales driven by its PC release.
