Modern Warfare’s first season starts Dec 3 with new maps, modes and more
Activison previously detailed plans for paid Battle Pass
Modern Warfare will see “the biggest free content drop in Call of Duty history” when Season One of its DLC pipeline releases on December 3, according to Activision.
Season One will see the release of three new multiplayer maps (Crash, Vacant and Shipment), at least three new Gunfight maps (Cargo, Atrium and “more”), a new Ground War map, three new multiplayer modes (Reinforce, Gunfight OSP and Infected), new Special Ops “experiences” and new weapons.
The content will begin releasing on Tuesday, December 3 on all platforms.
Activision recently confirmed that the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Battle Pass will launch in December.
It previously said that Modern Warfare Battle Passes will include free and premium streams, with players able to see all the content they are earning or buying.
All functional content that has an impact on game balance, such as base weapons and attachments, can be unlocked by playing the game and earning COD Points, according to the publisher.
The premium stream and Modern Warfare’s in-game store will include cosmetic items that don’t impact game balance.
Details of an unconfirmed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Battle Royale mode recently appeared online, suggesting it will be a free addition which supports 200 players and introduces a new twist on player respawns.
