Details of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s upcoming Battle Royale mode have reportedly appeared online.

According to Call of Duty dataminer Sensecallo, the mode – which will reportedly be added as a free post-release addition – will feature support for up to 200 players and introduce a new twist on player respawns.

Modern Warfare already supports 100 players via its Ground War multiplayer mode, but the map planned for Battle Royale appears to be significantly larger.

According to the leaked data, players will be able to obtain ‘Respawn Tokens’ for downed teammates, which will place them in a Gulag area with other defeated players. The players will then queue for a chance to respawn into battle by winning a 1v1 battle against another downed foe.

At some point during the match, the Gulag will be closed and no longer usable, thus preventing respawns, it’s claimed.

Modern Warfare’s Battle Royale mode will reportedly include perks, player missions and support for solo, duo and quad team modes.

In a nod to Apex Legends, players have the ability to mark Vehicles, Locations, Items, Enemies, and Dangerous Locations for other players to see.

There’s also seemingly a new Plunder resource, which is obtained by completing missions and eliminating enemies. Plunder can be used to purchase “game changing” items at plunder box locations,” according to the leak.

Players will also be able to convert Plunder into XP by depositing it into ATM machines located throughout the game. When players enter a Bank, the Bank Alarm will sound, alerting all enemies within the vicinity, it’s said.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is 2019’s best-selling game in the US year-to-date based on dollar sales, retail monitor the NPD Group said on Thursday. It has also topped the UK chart for the past three weeks.

Activision recently confirmed that the first Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Battle Pass will be released in December.

Modern Warfare Battle Passes will launch timed to new live seasons, it said in October.

Each Battle Pass will have free and premium streams, with players able to see all the content they are earning or buying.

“All functional content that has an impact on game balance, such as base weapons and attachments, can be unlocked simply by playing the game,” according to the publisher.
