Call of Duty Warzone Season 3 trailer reveals new content
New characters, vehicles and guns confirmed ahead of April 8 release
Activision has released a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and Warzone Season 3 trailer ahead of its launch this Wednesday, April 8.
Among other features, Season 3 will include larger squads for free-to-play shooter Warzone with the introduction of a Quads playlist.
Warzone will also be updated with new vehicle skins, plus two new weapons: the Renetti handgun and SKS marksman rifle.
For PlayStation Plus subscribers, a new combat pack for Modern Warfare and Warzone will release alongside Season 3. The Pack includes:
- Epic Operator skin for Wyatt
- Epic sniper rifle blueprint
- Epic handgun blueprint
- Epic tactical knife
- Epic weapon charm
- Animated Calling Card
- Spray
- 60-minute Double Weapon XP Token
Elsewhere, the trailer reveals fresh Modern Warfare multiplayer maps including Talsik Backlot, Hovec Sawmill and Aniyah Incursion.
A dataminer recently uncovered a number of files related to Modern Warfare / Warzone Season 3, which is expected to run for about eight weeks.
According to the info, Season 3 could contain new playlists for Warzone, including Duos and Quads.
The datamine also pointed to the addition of two new weapons (SKS and Renetti), two fresh Operators (Alex and Ronin), and a pair of Modern Warfare multiplayer map remakes (Backlot from MW2 and Village from MW3).
Modern Warfare and Warzone progression is unified across the games, which share the same Battle Pass and item shop.
Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered released in late March as a timed PS4 exclusive.
