Modern Warfare adding 3v3 Gunfight and more loadout slots
Infinity Ward details upcoming features as latest patch is released
Infinity Ward has reiterated it’s working on a 3v3 Gunfight mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare and says it plans to introduce additional loadout slots “over the coming weeks” too.
It’s also planning new Gunfight tournaments once it’s “squashed a few bugs and added in new rewards” and says more double XP events are in the works.
The upcoming features were revealed in a community update which also announced the launch of a Trello board designed to keep players updated about what the studio’s working on in real time.
Known issues it’s currently tracking include lighting flickering on various maps, mission collision on containers on Cargo, platinum skins not unlocking properly, and out of map exploits in Ground War.
Infinity Ward also says fans can now expect to see playlist updates on Tuesdays, while it will release a developer diary and/or behind the scenes blog on Thursdays and a community update blog on Fridays.
The latest Modern Warfare patch, which was released on Saturday, is detailed below.
GENERAL FIXES:
- Fixes to a few glitch spots on Karst River Quarry that requires vehicles to access
- Fixed a bug that was preventing the “Mark 25 Enemies Using the Recon Drone” challenge from tracking properly
- When using a Trial Ticket to activate a Trials match, users could spend more tickets than required and lose unconsumed tickets. This has been fixed.
- If more than 9 players are Infected, the player will not have a throwing knife available after using a Tac Insert
A recent Modern Warfare playlist update introduced a 1v1 version of Gunfight, complementing the 2v2 option the game launched with.
Infinity Ward first revealed plans to release a 3v3 version of Gunfight in December 2019.
Modern Warfare Season 1 and the game’s first Battle Pass launched in early December, ushering in “the biggest free content drop in Call of Duty history,” according to publisher Activision.
