Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 6 launch date and The Haunting event confirmed
Launch trailer released ahead of the new season’s arrival next week
Activision has announced the launch date for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 6.
A September 18 release date was revealed alongside the launch trailer and first details for Season 6.
Seasonal updates for the games normally go live at 9am PT / 12pm ET / 5pm BST across all platforms.
As with other recent series entries, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone will receive a Halloween event called The Haunting. This year’s event will feature Michael Myers and Art the Clown, among other characters.
Last year’s The Haunting event arrived in October 2023. The mid-season update introduced Halloween-themed maps, modes, events and Operators across Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone.
Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone Season 5 Reloaded launched in late August. On the multiplayer front it added new 6v6 map Ink House, which is a cel-shaded variant of Stash House, while new and returning modes included Cyber Attack, Fishfection, Paintball and Defuse or Destroy.
The Reloaded update also added the final story mission for Modern Warfare Zombies, Supreme Resurgence mode (Rebirth Island) for Warzone, and an Operator skin based on The Crow.
