Mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is getting an enhanced PC port

Popular mobile game Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is coming to PC later this year.

EA originally released the game in November 2015, and it has continued to enjoy a following in the eight and a half years since.

While players have used various methods like Android emulation to play the game on PC, EA is now giving the game an official PC port.

As reported by Game Informer, the PC version of Galaxy of Heroes will feature options for higher resolutions, will support antialiasing and will double the framerate to 60fps.

While the mobile version is obviously a touchscreen game, the PC port will use keyboard and mouse, with support for keybinds (but no controller support yet).

Mobile players will be able to carry over their progress by linking their mobile account to their EA account, and the game will have cross-functionality meaning they will be able to regularly jump between mobile and PC.

According to EA, all future updates to the mobile game will be released simultaneously on the PC version, with a developer spokesperson saying that “the PC and mobile version will always be in lockstep and release updates at the same time”.

Players who have already been playing the mobile version of Galaxy of Heroes will be able to receive beta access to the PC version in May, after which the game will roll out to all other players.

Registration for the closed beta is open now on the Galaxy of Heroes website.
