MLB The Show 23 cover star, release date and Game Pass launch confirmed
Pre-orders launch next week ahead of the game’s late March release
Sony and the MLB have announced details for MLB The Show 23, including the game’s cover star.
Jazz Chisholm, the 24-year-old Bahamian Miami Marlins star, will grace the box of this year’s series entry, which will be released on March 28.
Pre-orders for the game, which is developed by Sony’s San Diego Studio, will open on February 26.
PS4, Xbox One and Switch versions of the game will cost $59.99, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions priced at $69.99.
MLB The Show 23 marks the franchise’s second appearance on a Nintendo console and its third on Xbox systems.
As was the case with the last two series entries, the standard edition of MLB The Show 23 will be included with Xbox Game Pass on day one.
The game will support cross-platform play, cross saves and cross progression on all platforms, although certain features like Stadium Creator will only be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The Collector’s Edition of MLB The Show 23 is set to revealed on February 2.
Sony previously said the decision to put its internally-developed baseball series on Xbox Game Pass was made by license holder the MLB.
