Minit is now free on the Epic Games store, Surviving Mars is up next
Latest free game replaces Metro 2033 Redux and Everything
Minit is now free to download from the Epic Games store.
“Minit is a peculiar little adventure played sixty seconds at a time,” reads the product description.
“Journey outside the comfort of your home to help unusual folk, uncover countless secrets, and overcome dangerous foes, all in hopes of lifting a rather unfortunate curse that ends each day after just one minute.”
The PC version of Minit has a score of 79 on review aggregation site Metacritic based on 21 reviews. It normally costs £6.99 on the Epic Game store.
Minit will be free to download until October 10, when it will be replaced by Surviving Mars, a sci-fi city builder about colonising and surviving on the red planet from Haemimont Games, the studio behind Tropico 3-5.
Surviving Mars currently costs £26.99 on Steam and has a Metascore of 76 based on 39 reviews.
Epic originally launched a bi-monthly free game offer alongside its PC storefront in December 2018 but said in mid-May that it was increasing the frequency of the offer to one free game per week until the end of 2019.
Titles offered for free have included Alan Wake, For Honor, Limbo, This War of Mine, Overcooked, World of Goo, Transistor, The Witness, Hyper Light Drifter, Fez, Inside, Celeste and Metro 2033 Redux.
Epic said on Wednesday it’s extended Fortnite season X and the game’s Batman crossover event by a week. It launched the Fortnite Batman crossover event in September in celebration of the Caped Crusader’s 80th anniversary.
The Epic Games store also gave away six free Batman games in the form of the Batman Arkham Collection, including its DLC, and the Lego Batman Trilogy.
