Microsoft says Visions of Mana isn’t coming to Game Pass
Game Pass listings were found on the RPG’s Xbox.com page earlier this week
Microsoft has denied plans to launch Square Enix’s Visions of Mana in Xbox Game Pass.
Earlier this week, social media users spotted explicit references to Game Pass on the RPG’s page on Xbox.com. When searching for the game via a search engine, the preview text field referred to the game as “coming soon to Xbox Series X/S and Game Pass.”
However, in a statement issued to Eurogamer, the platform holder has now denied this is the case.
“We’re aware that Xbox.com included language that indicated Visions of Mana was coming to Xbox Game Pass and can confirm this was an error,” a Microsoft spokesperson said.
“While we are always updating the library and looking for new ways to provide members with value and choice, we do not have plans to bring Visions of Mana to Game Pass at this time.”
Announced in December and detailed in a new trailer during the Xbox Developer Direct, Visions of Mana is set for release in 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC.
“Immerse yourself in the vibrant graphics of this beautiful world, where the powers of nature blend with the elemental aspects of mana to create a rich tapestry of life,” reads an official description for the game.
“Journey through enchanting locations with near-seamless transitions in a semi-open field that’s yours to discover. Brace yourself for fast-paced, multi-dimensional actions in battle to enrich your fighting experience. Use the magic of the Elementals to explore this vast world to your heart’s content!”
