Mew and Mewtwo are officially coming to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
Players can add Mew to their game starting today
Mewtwo and Mew are coming to Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.
Announced during a Pokémon Presents live stream, an upcoming raid will be featured in the game between September 1 and September 17.
The event will also see the debut of Mew in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The mythical Pokémon, that made its debut in the first generation of Pokémon games, will be added to the game as a mystery gift.
Players can add Mew to their game by using the mystery gift code GETY0URMEW until September 18.
The Pokémon Company has also teased that if players complete the Mewtwo raid with Mew in their team, something special will happen, although it’s not clear what that will be.
It’s expected that Mewtwo will be Level 100 when it joins the game, as has been the case with previous 7-star tera raids in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Like those previous raids, Mewtwo will feature The Mightiest Mark, which is an in-game label attached to Pokemon defeated in 7-star raids.
During the Pokémon Presents, The Pokémon Company also announced that Game Boy’s Pokémon Trading Card Game and N64’s Pokémon Stadium 2 will be available today via Nintendo Switch Online and its premium Expansion Pack offering.
The release date for the first piece of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC was also announced as part of the presentation.
