Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2’s games have reportedly leaked
It’s claimed Metal Gear Solid 4 will be released on platforms other than PS3 for the first time
The Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2 line-up has reportedly leaked.
Publisher Konami confirmed the full line-up of games included in Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 on Wednesday, as well as its release date and the platforms it will be available on.
Following the announcement, Twitter user Nitroid found that the Metal Gear Solid website had added buttons to its franchise timeline for the games included in Vol. 1, plus placeholder buttons for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker.
After this discovery, IGN reported to have heard that the three games are set to be included in Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 2.
Notably, 2008’s Metal Gear Solid 4 has only ever been released for PS3. 2010’s Peace Walker debuted on PSP before making its way to PS3 and Xbox 360, while 2015’s Metal Gear Solid 4 is available on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol. 1 will be released for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC and Switch on October 24.
It will include the seven games listed below, plus a range of bonus content.
- Metal Gear
- Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
- Metal Gear Solid
- Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty
- Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
- Metal Gear (NES/FC version)
- Snake’s Revenge
When it initially announced the Master Collection, Konami also officially revealed a Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
