Metal Gear Solid cologne will let you smell like Shadow Moses Island
Only 1000 units of the cologne will be produced
A new aftershave designed to tie in with Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol 1 has been announced.
Numskull, in collaboration with Konami, is giving fans the chance to “immerse themselves into the thrilling world of espionage and secret operations of the Metal Gear universe even further,” with a unisex fragrance based upon the game’s iconic locale of Shadow Moses Island.
“Taking inspiration from the game’s legendary setting, this unique cologne opens with the crisp freshness of handpicked mushrooms and forest soil, and evolves to reveal a heart enriched with aromatic scents designed to take the wearer on a sensory journey, transporting them to the captivating and complex landscape of Shadow Moses Island,” Numskull says.
Only 1000 units of the cologne will be produced, and it will only sold in the UK and some European countries.
Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Volume 1 was released earlier this week.
The collection includes Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, Metal Gear Solid (which also includes VR Missions/Special Missions), and the HD Collection versions of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty and Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.
References to Metal Gear Solid 4, Metal Gear Solid 5 and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker have allegedly been found in the files of the MGS Master Collection Volume 1.
That’s according to images shared by a Reddit user, which claim to show files that determine which game the collection should read assets from mentioning the three not-included titles.
If authentic, the references could be a simple test during development, or maybe evidence that a second volume could one day include the other major Metal Gear series games.
