Marvin the Martian is coming to MultiVersus today
The Looney Tunes character will be the game’s 23rd fighter
Marvin the Martian will be coming to MultiVersus later today, it’s been confirmed.
Developer Player First games announced last week that the Looney Tunes character would be coming to the game at some point, but hadn’t provided a solid release date.
Now it’s been confirmed on the game’s official Twitter page that Marvin will arrive today (November 21) at 10am PST / 1pm EST / 6pm GMT.
Before that, as is usually the case when a new character is added, the game will go down for maintenance for around an hour.
Marvin will be voiced by Eric Bauza, who is the current voice of many Looney Tunes characters and has already provided the voice for Bugs Bunny in the game.
Although no further information has been given about Marvin’s fighting style yet, MultiVersus dataminer LaisulMV was able to find his moveset last week following the release of the Season 2 update, posting it on Twitter.
Based on this leaked moveset it appears that Marvin will focus mainly on projectile attacks, and is armed with a blaster, a pistol and the ability to fire bubble projectiles.
It was also officially announced last week that MutliVersus will be getting a Game of Thrones stage, containing “all the hazards and pitfalls you’d come to expect from the land of Westeros” and a remix of the Game of Thrones theme which dynamically changes depending on what’s happening on-screen.
Although Marvian the Martian is the only character confirmed for Season 2 to date, there will be more to follow, as Player First Games described him last week as “one of the new characters who will be joining the MultiVersus roster in Season 2”.
While Rick and Morty were confirmed when Season 1 originally launched, they were later followed by other characters who hadn’t been announced at the same time, including Gizmo and Stripe from Gremlins, and DC antihero Black Adam.
