Marvel’s Avengers update to add campaign replay and customisable HARM Rooms
Launching alongside the next-gen versions of the game and its Hawkeye DLC
Crystal Dynamics has detailed two new features coming to Marvel’s Avengers as part of the game’s next major update on March 18.
Marvel’s Avengers’ 1.5 update will introduce the ability to replay the game’s campaign alongside customisable HARM (Holographic Augmented Reality Machine) Rooms.
Community manager Andy Wong said during a Twitch stream on Tuesday: “This is something that we’ve been seeing over and over again on Twitter and socials and everything, you know, ‘can we replay the campaign? Can we replay the campaign?’
“You can on the 18th. You will keep everything you have, you keep XP, your gear and everything, but you can replay the campaign from start to finish, and it’s something we’re really excited about.”
The new customisable HARM Rooms will let players choose the enemy types and numbers they want to face off against, add hazards, and apply buffs such as reduced damage or invulnerability.
March 18 is also the release date for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Marvel’s Avengers and the game’s new Hawkeye DLC.
Players moving from PS4 to PS5 or Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S will be able to upgrade free of charge and transfer their saves, player profiles and progression. Cross-gen play will be supported within console families.
Also starting on March 18, the amount of XP needed to level up a character once they reach level 25 will increase with each level, meaning it will take longer for each character to reach the maximum level 50.
