Lords of the Fallen dated with new gameplay trailer
The fantasy action-RPG will be released in October
CI Games has announced a release date for Lords of the Fallen and published a new gameplay trailer, which is viewable below.
Confirming a recent leak, the game will be released on October 13, 2023 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Pre-orders are open now and will reward early buyers with three exclusive armour tincts plus several in-game bonuses.
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Lords of the Fallen is a reboot of the dark fantasy action-RPG of the same name that was released in 2014.
It casts players as one of the fabled Dark Crusaders, who are on a mission to overthrow a demon God called Adyr, and supports online co-op for two players.
Lords of the Fallen is set more than 1,000 years after the events of the original game and its world is over five times as large, publisher CI Games said when the title was announced last August.
A technical showcase trailer released in March showed a journey to Skyrest Bridge, one of the game’s early locations. It also demonstrated character customisation, armour builds and the game’s interconnected world.
“Players will have the ability to travel between two worlds: Axiom, the realm of the living and Umbral, the realm of the dead,” according to developer Hexworks, a CI Games studio founded in early 2020.
