Limited edition Pokémon Switch Lite console announced
Will launch one week before Pokémon Sword and Shield
Nintendo will release a limited edition Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield Switch Lite console on November 8.
Titled Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian & Zamazenta Edition, it’ll feature cyan and magenta buttons and illustrations of the two new Legendary Pokémon from Pokémon Sword and Shield.
Nintendo says the special edition Switch Lite console will be available “while supplies last”. It won’t include a copy of Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, which is set for release on November 15, 2019.
Update: The Nintendo Switch Lite Zacian & Zamazenta Edition console is available to pre-order from Nintendo, Amazon, Best Buy, ShopTo and Game.
Original story continues: Switch Lite, a handheld-only version of the console released in 2017, was officially announced earlier today.
It will launch on September 20 for $200 and will be available in three colours: yellow, grey and turquoise.
Nintendo has released a breakdown of the Nintendo Switch Lite technical specifications, outlining the differences between the upcoming system and the existing console.
