Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth has an Animal Crossing-style island subgame
Players can go fishing, craft furniture and customise their home
Sega has released a new trailer for Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which reveals an Animal Crossing-style island subgame.
“Too many street punks getting you down? Time for the getaway you deserve? Dondoko Island is the destination for you,” reads the synopsis for a new trailer released on Wednesday.
Speaking to Xbox.com, RGG Studio chief producer Hiroyuki Sakamoto revealed that Dondoko Island will be unlocked partway through the campaign and is independent of the main story.
Players will be able to gather materials on the island by fishing or clearing trash, purchase or craft furniture, and customise their own home.
The next game in the series formerly known in the west as Yakuza will be released on January 26.
Set to be released before Infinite Wealth is Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, a spin-off which sheds light on Kazuma Kiryu’s perspective following the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.
Like a Dragon Gaiden will be released on November 9 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
