Life is Strange: True Colors is finally coming to Switch in December
It will initially be available digitally, ahead of a physical release in 2022
Square Enix has announced a release date for the delayed Nintendo Switch version of Life is Strange: True Colors.
The Life is Strange series will make its handheld debut when True Colors launches digitally for Switch on December 7 via the Nintendo eShop, with a physical release set to follow on February 25, 2022.
The Switch edition of Life is Strange: True Colors was originally scheduled to be released in September alongside the PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC versions of the game.
True Colors tells the story of Alex Chen, a young woman who moves to the small town of Haven Springs where she ends up investigating the death of her brother, which she believes may not be accidental.
Alex has a power called Empathy, which lets her see people’s emotions as differently coloured glowing auras around them, then absorb and manipulate them.
At around the same time as the Switch version of True Colors was delayed, Square Enix also confirmed that it had pushed the release of the Life is Strange Remastered Collection from this year to February 2022.
The Remastered Collection promises to improve the visual detail of characters and environments in both the original Life is Strange and its prequel, Life is Strange: Before the Storm.
It will also feature “vastly improved” character animation, according to Square Enix, using full facial motion capture performances, as well as upgrades to the game engine and lighting.
