‘Licensed’ Overwatch Nintendo Switch case appears on Amazon
Accessory later pulled from sale, fuelling suggestions of Nintendo port
A “licensed” Overwatch Nintendo Switch peripheral briefly went on sale on Monday, suggesting the Blizzard shooter could be coming to the platform.
The PowerA Overwatch Switch case was pulled from Amazon shortly after being discovered, and according to its listing was officially licensed by Nintendo and Blizzard.
PowerA also sells officially licensed Switch accessories based on Super Mario, Minecraft, Spyro and more.

Company president J. Allen Brack recently revealed Blizzard could release more games for Nintendo Switch, following 2018’s successful port of Diablo 3.
Diablo 3 released for Switch in November 2018 with strong support from Nintendo, including a special hardware bundle and a Diablo amiibo figure.
“Nintendo’s been a great partner,” Brack told Venturebeat in May. “We’re a fan of that platform, a fan of Nintendo, a fan of the Nintendo IP, a fan of the Switch. It’s a really good platform and it’s really fun to play on.
Brack said it’s “not ridiculous” to assume that more Nintendo titles will come from the company.
“We’d like to have — we think of it as another platform. It has some unique properties that the Xbox and Sony platforms don’t have. Thinking about what games make sense for that type of console is something we’ll never stop doing.”
It’s possible Blizzard may be saving some big announcements for BlizzCon 2019, which will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center in California on November 1 and 2.
Blizzard is currently undergoing a “renewed focus” on game development. Although it officially has no titles planned for release in 2019, it claims to have more projects in development than at any point in its history.
