The Nintendo Switch game was most recently scheduled for release in October
Level 5’s Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time has been delayed indefinitely.
Announced during a Nintendo Direct in February 2023, the game was originally planned for release last year before it was delayed in November.
Prior to its latest delay, the island building life simulation game was planned for release on October 10, 2024.
“To all of you who have been looking forward to the release, we apologize for any inconvenience caused and sincerely appreciate your understanding,” Level 5 said in a statement. “Thank you for your patience.”
“We plan to announce more details about the new release timing and so on during the online event ‘LEVEL5 VISION 2024 TO THE WORLD’S CHILDREN’,” it added.
While Level 5’s upcoming Vision showcase itself hasn’t been dated, last year’s Vision showcase was held in November.
The studio is also currently working on the first new main game in the Professor Layton series in over a decade.
Puzzle-fantasy adventure Professor Layton and the New World of Steam is set to release in 2025 for Nintendo Switch.
The Professor Layton series was extremely popular on the Nintendo DS and 3DS, with over 17 million units sold by June 2018.
