The SteamOS powered Lenovo Legion Go S launches in May for $500
Lenovo has revealed Legion Go S, the first officially licensed third-party SteamOS handheld.
The portable gaming PC boasts an 8-inch screen with VRR support, and fused controllers with adjustable trigger switches and hall-effect joysticks.
One of several new Lenovo Legion gaming devices announced at CES on Tuesday, the Go S will launch in May 2025 with a starting price of $499.99.
“This new handheld combines the powerhouse features of the Lenovo Legion Go S with the flexibility and console-like experience of SteamOS, Valve’s operating system that is optimized for gaming,” according to Lenovo.
“Featuring cloud saves that mean a seamless transition between PC gaming and handheld, Remote Play that streams games to the device from a PC, full Steam Store and Steam Library access, the Lenovo Legion Go S Powered by SteamOS is a big step forward in freedom of choice for gamers who are looking for an OS that is optimized for handheld gaming.”
A Windows-based Lenovo Legion Go S will be released this month for $729.99, with additional configurations expected to launch alongside the Steam OS handheld in May, with a starting price of $599.99.
In a separate news post, Valve said it’s working on SteamOS support for more devices in the future.
The company recently launched a limited edition white version of the Steam Deck, which sold out in a matter of days.
