Lego Pokémon is official, and it’s coming next year
The sets will begin rolling out in 2026

The Pokémon Company and the Lego Group have announced that Lego Pokémon sets are coming soon.
A short teaser trailer has been posted by both groups, which features yellow Lego bricks forming the tail of a Pikachu. The Pikachu tail then uses an electric attack to illuminate the Lego and Pokémon logos.
The first sets from the collaboration are expected in 2026. No further information was provided.
The building brick toy right to Pokémon was previously held by Mega. The Mega series of Pokémon building toys included brick-built figures of popular Pokemon like Charizard and Pikachu, as well as physical locations and items, like a Pokémon Stadium and a Pokedex.
Julia Goldin, chief product & marketing officer of the Lego Group, said: “We are thrilled to be working with a brand that has such a deep and passionate fanbase as Pokémon, partnering to give our joint audiences what they have been asking us for.
“We strongly believe that through the endless possibilities of Lego play and the exciting adventures the world of Pokémon brings, this partnership will create a range of new possibilities for Trainers and builders alike.”
This marks the latest collaboration between Nintendo and Lego. A Lego Game Boy is set for release later this year.
Gaku Susai, chief product and experience officer at The Pokémon Company International said, “The Lego Group and Pokémon have strong shared values of imagination, creativity and fun, making this the perfect partnership to deliver unique, meaningful and engaging ways for Trainers to experience the Pokémon brand.
“Working with the best-in-class team at the Lego Group and seeing their total dedication and passion for the project has culminated in an innovative and groundbreaking collaboration that will surprise and delight fans. We cannot wait to see both Lego fans and the Pokémon community’s reactions in 2026.”
The Lego NES was released in August 2020 for $229.99 / £209.99. The set includes a brick-built NES model and accompanying 1980’s style television set, complete with scrolling Super Mario Bros scene.
Nintendo has also released Lego sets based on its various game franchises, including Super Mario, Donkey Kong, Animal Crossing, The Legend of Zelda, and Mario Kart.
Last year, it released a Lego set based on the Super Nintendo game Super Mario World. This was followed by the Lego The Legend of Zelda: Great Deku tree set.
The Deku Tree set features two designs. The first replicates the Deku tree’s look in The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, and another based on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. After years of fan requests, this was the first Lego The Legend of Zelda set.
