Leaked Modern Warfare 2 footage reveals vehicle hijacking
New vehicle mechanics shown in unofficial videos
Modern Warfare 2 campaign footage revealing new vehicle mechanics has seemingly leaked.
The footage, which was originally released via Twitter and is viewable below, shows the player jumping from one vehicle to another before killing the driver and hijacking the ride.
Other leaked clips, which have been being removed from Twitter following DMCA takedown notices, appeared to show a different mission in which the player is swimming up to a dock, as well as an MP7 being fired.
Publisher Activision is offering early Modern Warfare 2 campaign access to those who pre-order the digital version of the game through the Xbox and PlayStation stores, as well as Battle.net and Steam on PC.
Campaign early access will go live on October 20 – more than a week ahead of the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 release date of October 28.
“This Campaign features missions in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, and is set to be an incredible experience on numerous levels: offshore sieges with underwater combat, all-out explosive assaults from 30,000 feet above enemy strongholds, and high-stakes, low-profile stealth missions in both plain sight and under the cover of darkness,” according to Activision.
A Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer beta will be held in September, with PlayStation players receiving first access ahead of Xbox and PC users.
Activision recently announced that Warzone 2 will launch later this year, soon after Modern Warfare 2.
The publisher is set to hold a digital event on September 15 when it will reveal “more details regarding Modern Warfare II, information on the next Call of Duty: Warzone, and more on the mobile version of Call of Duty: Warzone”.
