Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 receives massive update with over 1,000 fixes and mod support
The version 1.2 patch is “the result of five months of work”, Warhorse Studios says
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 has received what developer Warhorse Studios calls a “major update”.
According to Warhorse, the version 1.2 patch is “the result of five months of work focused on refining and improving the game experience”.
The update includes more than 1,000 fixes and improvements, covering the likes of game balancing, NPC behaviour, environmental improvements and tweaks to how equipment works.
It also includes the first “free DLC addition” to the game, in which Henry can go to a barber shop to change his hairstyle and facial hair, with players able to “choose between a clean-shaven look or a more rugged appearance”. By getting a haircut, Henry’s charisma rating is temporarily buffed.
One of the other major additions introduced in version 1.2 is dedicated Steam modding support, with a new suite of tools offering direct integration with Steam Workshop.
Warhorse says these modding tools will let players modify over 300 elements in the game, “from UI and combat mechanics to RPG elements and AI behaviour”, with anything from minor tweaks to complete overhauls possible.
The studio will be hosting a developer stream on March 20, in which it will discuss the numerous changes made in version 1.2. Until then, the full list of patch notes for Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 can be found on the game’s official website.
VGC’s Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 review calls the game “a brilliant RPG that’s uncompromisingly itself,” describing it as “difficult, mucky and bloody”.
