Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 officially announced with trailer and first details
The 2018 RPG’s sequel will be released later this year
Publisher Plaion has officially announced a sequel to 2018 role-playing game Kingdom Come: Deliverance.
As revealed earlier via a leaked trailer, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will be released later this year for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
The game was officially revealed in a 13-minute game reveal video, which showed off the first trailer and gave more information on the plot and features.
“Diving back into the heart-pounding world of 15th Century Bohemia (Central Europe), Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 picks up where its predecessor left off, thrusting players into the shoes of Henry, the steadfast son of a blacksmith, embroiled in a tumultuous tale of vengeance, betrayal, and self-discovery,” the game’s description reads.
“In this gripping sequel, players will traverse a meticulously crafted medieval landscape, from the humble confines of a blacksmith’s forge to the grandeur of royal courts, all while navigating the treacherous currents of a kingdom torn apart by civil war.”
The game will take place over two maps, making it double the size of the first game.
“Players can explore the beautiful and diverse Bohemian Paradise (a real-world location you can still visit in the Czech Republic) with the majestic Trosky Castle and then visit an urban environment of the silver mining town of Kuttenberg (a Unesco World Heritage site),” Plaion said.
The game’s combat system has been revamped, with new ranged weapons including crossbows and “early gunpowder weapons”.
Plaion released a Switch version of the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance last month. The game was ported to Nintendo’s console by Saber Interactive.
