June’s PlayStation Plus games have reportedly been revealed
The June 2022 games will include God of War, it’s claimed
June 2022’s free PlayStation Plus games have been teased early by a Spanish website.
Areajugones claims that the games set to be given away to subscribers are:
- God of War (2018)
- Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker
- Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
The monthly PlayStation Plus free games are usually leaked by Deallabs member billbil-kun, but this month they said that they wouldn’t be revealing June’s games until May 31.
However, they did warn that users shouldn’t “buy games for children (or teenagers), or ultra popular games”, which fits in with Areajugones’ claims.
UPDATE 01/06/22: Sony has officially confirmed the June PlayStation Plus line-up.
ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: The addition of God of War will mainly be of benefit to PlayStation 4 owners, because the game is already included as part of the PS Plus Collection, a selection of PS4 games that PS5 owners can claim.
Sony has given no indication that the PS Plus Collection will be ending any time soon.
May’s PlayStation Plus games are still available to claim until June 7. These are:
- FIFA 22
- Curse of the Dead Gods
- Tribes of Midgard
Free PlayStation Plus games will still continue to be offered every month after the service undergoes its revamp in June, Sony has confirmed.
Sony’s new PlayStation Plus structure will launch for PS4 and PS5 in Japan on June 2, North and South America on June 13, and Australia, New Zealand, and Europe on June 23. It will be structured across three payment tiers: Essentials, Extra and Premium.
The Essentials tier will offer the same benefits as the current PS Plus service, including ‘free’ PS4 and PS5 games every month, online multiplayer access and PS Store discounts.
The Extra tier adds access to a catalogue of PS4 and PS5 games, which can be downloaded similar to Xbox Game Pass.
Finally, the Premium tier adds a selection of PS1, PS2 and PSP games to download and PS3 games via cloud streaming.
