June’s PlayStation Plus games have now been confirmed by a regular leaker
God of War, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl and Naruto to Boruto are coming in June
June 2022’s free PlayStation Plus games have now been confirmed by their usual leaker.
Spanish website Areajugones claimed on Monday that the games set to be given away to subscribers will be God of War (2018), Naruto to Boruto: Shinobi Striker and Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.
However, while the news appeared to be legitimate, monthly PlayStation Plus games are usually leaked by Deallabs member billbil-kun, who this month said they wouldn’t be revealing June’s games until May 31.
Now billbil-kun has confirmed the same list, making it very likely that these are indeed June 2022’s PlayStation Plus games.
UPDATE 01/06/22: Sony has officially confirmed the June PlayStation Plus line-up.
ORIGINAL STORY CONTINUES: All three games will be available to claim from June 7, and will remain available until July 5.
God of War is of course already included as part of the PS Plus Collection, a selection of PS4 games that PS5 owners can claim, so only owners of the last-gen console will benefit from its addition.
May’s PlayStation Plus games are still available to claim until June 7. These are:
- FIFA 22
- Curse of the Dead Gods
- Tribes of Midgard
Sony has said that ‘free’ PlayStation Plus games will still continue to be offered every month after the service undergoes its revamp in June.
Sony’s new PlayStation Plus structure will launch for PS4 and PS5 in Japan on June 2, North and South America on June 13, and Australia, New Zealand, and Europe on June 23. It will be structured across three payment tiers: Essentials, Extra and Premium.
The Essential tier will offer the same benefits as the current PS Plus service, including ‘free’ PS4 and PS5 games every month, online multiplayer access and PS Store discounts.
The Extra tier adds access to a catalogue of PS4 and PS5 games, which can be downloaded similar to Xbox Game Pass.
Finally, the Premium tier adds a selection of PS1, PS2 and PSP games to download and PS3 games via cloud streaming.
