July 2021’s Xbox Live Games with Gold titles have been announced

Microsoft has revealed July 2021’s Xbox Live Games with Gold titles.

On Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S, Xbox Live Gold subscribers will be able to download Planet Alpha (normally $19.99/£15.99) for free throughout July.

Rock of Ages 3: Make & Break (normally $29.99/£24.99) will be available as a free download from July 16 to August 15.

Original Xbox game Conker: Live & Reloaded (normally $9.99/£9.19) will be free for Xbox Live Gold members from July 1-15.

And from July 16 until the end of the month, Xbox 360 title Midway Arcade Origins (normally $19.99/£14.99) will be free to download.

As part of June’s Games with Gold line-up, members can download The King’s Bird and Injustice: Gods Among Us for free until the end of this month, while Shadows: Awakening is available until July 15.

As of late April, an Xbox Live Gold subscription is no longer required to play free-to-play multiplayer games on Xbox consoles, or to access Looking for Group and party chat features.

Previously, Xbox Live Gold was required to play all Xbox games online, including over 50 free-to-play titles such as Warzone, Fortnite and Rocket League, which are available at no extra cost on rival platforms.

In January, Microsoft reversed plans to increase the price of a six-month Xbox Live Gold subscription by 50% to $60.
