Jingle Jam Humble Bundle raises $1 million for charity in first 24 hours
PC bundle offers “games worth over $700 – for as little as a $30 donation”
Yogscast’s Jingle Jam Humble Bundle 2019 raised $1 million for charity in its first 24 hours of availability.
The annual charity fundraising initiative, which is supported with daily livestreams throughout December, centres around a Humble Bundle offering PC “games worth over $700 – for as little as a $30 donation”. That’s about £23.
The bundle will include 66 titles to download in total, with new games released each day through to December 20.
However, there’s a limited number of codes for each game, so those who donate later may miss out on some titles.
All the profits are set to be distributed between eight charities in 2019: Grand Appeal, Mental Health Foundation, Special Effect, Stand Up To Cancer, War Child, Whale & Dolphin Conservation, Access Sport and Call of Duty Endowment.
Almost 44,000 bundles have been sold to date, raising over $1.4 million at the time of publication.
The Jingle Jam says it’s raised over $15m for charity since 2011.
