Japan’s biggest indie games expo will hold a digital event
BitSummit to host live streams, developer chats and curated game demos
Japan’s biggest indie games festival, BitSummit, will take place as a digital event on June 27, its organiser has announced.
The digital event will include live streams, Discord chats, “digital developer booths” and game demos curated by the BitSummit executive committee.
Information on special guest speakers, influencers and sponsors will be announced soon on the BitSummit website.
This year’s physical BitSummit event was due to take place starting May 9 at the Miyako Messe convention centre in Kyoto, but it was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic.
BitSummit is now in its eighth year and celebrated a record attendance of around 17,000 people in 2019, according to organiser the Japan Independent Games Association.
