Japanese Sonic X Shadow Generations website is teasing a fourth playable character
The game will be released in October
The Japanese website for Sonic X Shadow Generation could be teasing a fourth playable character for the game.
Currently, the website shows off Sonic, classic Sonic, Shadow, and a blank square on the website with “coming soon,” under it.
The placement of the image and the colour scheme of the teaser appears to suggest that it will be a previously unseen variant of Shadow.
Sonic X Shadow Generations will be released on October 25 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The PS5 and PS4 versions of the game will include exclusive “Extended Prologue Animations with deleted scenes”.
The game’s Digital Deluxe Edition will allow players to play it three days early, and will include an additional character skin and level for Shadow (releasing holiday 2024), a Terios Skin, an Extra BGM Pack, a Digital Art Book, a Digital Soundtrack and Skill Points for Sonic Generations.
Sonic X Shadow Generations is an updated version of the 2011 platformer Sonic Generations.
The original game sees Sonic and friends teaming up with their past selves, with the game playing out across two styles of gameplay: ‘classic’, which is mostly side-scrolling, and ‘modern’, which features 3D levels.
The new version will feature a “complete remaster” of Sonic Generations, with “upgraded visuals and new bonus content”, as well as new content featuring Shadow.
