January’s new PlayStation Now games have been revealed
Including The Crew 2, Surviving Mars and Frostpunk: Console Edition
Sony has released January 2021’s PlayStation Now games.
Ubisoft’s open-world racing game The Crew 2 has joined the subscription service until July 5, 2021.
Longer-term additions to PlayStation Now are Surviving Mars, a sci-fi city builder about colonising and surviving on the red planet, and Frostpunk: Console Edition, a city-builder and survival game in which players rule the last city on Earth during a frozen apocalypse.
PlayStation Now’s software library includes over 700 PS2, PS3 and PS4 games streamable to PS5, PS4 or PC, and over 300 PS4 titles which can be downloaded and played on consoles.
Sony slashed PlayStation Now prices in October 2019 in a bid to be more competitive with rival streaming services. It also began adding “blockbuster” games each month, which are available for a limited time.
Last year’s PlayStation Now arrivals included Days Gone, MediEvil, Control, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Spider-Man, Just Cause 4, Rainbow Six Siege, The Evil Within 2, Metro Exodus, Dishonored 2, Watch Dogs 2, Street Fighter V, and Hitman 2.
PlayStation Now had over 2.2 million subscribers as of April 2020, according to Sony – up from one million in October 2019.
January’s PlayStation Plus games also launched today, including Maneater for PS5, and Rise of the Tomb Raider and Greedfall for PS4.
