It Takes Two wins the top prize at The Game Awards 2021
Hazelight’s co-op adventure takes home three awards, including Game of the Year
It Takes Two won the top prize at The Game Awards 2021, where it scooped three awards including the coveted Game of the Year.
Hazelight’s co-op adventure, which tells the story of a husband and wife who are seemingly headed for divorce, took home the Best Multiplayer and Best Family Game awards too.
Playground’s Forza Horizon 5 also bagged three awards for Best Sports/Racing, Best Audio Design, and Innovation in Accessibility, which recognises developers who are pushing the medium forward in terms of reach.
Arkane’s Deathloop, which had been nominated for nine prizes, was awarded Best Game Direction and Best Art Direction.
Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XIV Online won the Best Ongoing and Best Community Support awards, Ember Lab’s Kena: Bridge of Spirits won the Best Indie and Best Indie Debut prizes, while From Software’s Elden Ring scooped the Most Anticipated award.
