It looks like High on Life is coming to PlayStation consoles
An unannounced version of the game has been spotted in the PlayStation backend
Squanch Games’ High on Life looks like it’s making its way to PlayStation consoles.
As spotted by Twitter user Knoebel, a PS4 version of the game has been uncovered in the PlayStation backend.
The unannounced version was found by Orbis Patches, a site which tracks PlayStation 4 game updates.
The update in question included general bug fixes and improvements, according to the patch notes.
High on Life was released for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC in December 2022, and was available on Game Pass for consoles and PC on day one.
The comedy first-person shooter sees players partnering with talking guns to take down an alien cartel threatening humanity.
At launch the game broke several notable engagement records. According to Microsoft, it was the subscription service’s biggest release of 2022, its biggest third-party launch of all time, and its biggest single player-only game release.
Announcing DLC for the game last month, Squanch Games CEO and studio director Mike Fridley said High on Life had surpassed 7.5 million unique players.
Titled High on Knife, the DLC is set two years after the main game ends and takes it in a horror-comedy direction.
It stars Knifey, a bloodthirsty melee weapon voiced by Michael Cusack, and introduces Harper, a new character/gun voiced by Sarah Sherman (Saturday Night Live).
High on Knife will be released for PC and Xbox consoles this fall/autumn.
